Amish lesson
There was a good reason why God gave us two ears and only one mouth. Yes, one should listen twice as much as one speaks. Then he gave me his blueprint for listening to people. When he meets people for the first time, he listens to whether the person is telling, sharing, questioning or just talking. I asked what does “just talking” mean. He said that is when a person is using words but saying nothing….. Christ said if a person is sharing and questioning then they are usually very nice people. If they are telling and talking then they probably have issues. He then cautioned me that one should be patient and see if there is a pattern to the way a person communicates. If however the person is a teller and a talker, then he gives them common courtesy. He would rather spend time with a sharer and questioner.

Merry Christmas
It's been two years since I was last in Penn. I've changed so much!! It's crazy.
Here for two weeks and then back to la la land for the last 6 months.
I love the country side. It's an entirely different lifestyle out here. People are so nice! My first impression was that they were simple and well, dumb. But it's not true. City people are street smart. They're.... country smart. We are all adapted to our own environments.
I learned this my first day back here when Miki & I were home alone. I almost burnt down the house. Apparently there is this thing called a "flue" (pronounced flu) that must be opened before you start a fire. I did NOT know this so before long the entire Harleysville fire and police department were at the house when smoke started setting off the fire alarms.
The lovely neighbor helped us clean up the mess on the wall before anyone got home. Thank god! It looked terrible, like the house was really going to burn down haha.
The cop passed my ID over to the other cop and said "She's from California" as if that explained it all. Dumb Californians =P
The only fluuuu I was aware of prior to this was one you can catch, not open. Well, now I know.

Goodbye 2009, Hello future!
Man! Time is flying by... I thought it was another year before I transfer but it is only 8 months! In 2 weeks I'll be done with IGETC, in 6 months I'll be done with my AA... then after summer I'll start a brand new college. Oh my.
In fact, November flew by. It's been a month since I've been 21?? Wow haha. Been keeping busy with school, work and random trips to Big Bear =)
I've been having ups and downs of emotion lately. I go from being super happy to down right depressed. I've figured out that it's somewhat similar to post partum depression. I couldn't figure why I felt down til I realized I felt about the same when I first went back to school the problem? Loss of freedom and extra responsibility can be overwhelming at first. Got to get used to it. I love work & learning PR but the whole having a boss and answering to someone and not being able to be late or take off if I want to is hard for me to get adjusted to.
Going to school full time and I work 2 full days a week + 1 half day. Thursdays are the most trying, 9-6 work then 6:30-10 class. Some days I am just so exhausted! The first couple weeks I could barely keep awake in class but I'm getting better.
Work was great today, one of the pitches we worked on got picked up by About.com =) It's very interesting to see how news gets spread. Picked up an extra day of work on Saturdays this month to work on Rose Bowl Parade PR so that means I'll be waking up bright and early tomorrow to drive to Pasadena =)
I'm researching homes in San Diego. I've pretty much decided I want to go to UCSD. I applied to UCLA but since my major is ultra competitive and I want to move out of LA anyway UCSD is my school of choice. Acception letters come out in April, 4 months from now, boo. Once I am sure which school I'm going to then it's time to get the house. Yay! I'm excited. Esp since housing is cheaper in SD so you can get alot more for your dollar.
Originally, I wanted a short sale or foreclosing home but now it looks like a condo may be a better choice for me. Since I'm not sure if I'm going to continue to reside in San Diego after I get my Bachelors, a smaller place would be easier to rent out both while I'm living there and if I decide to move somewhere else in 2 1/2 years =)
I am so excited about the future. After this internship is over in January/February, I have an internship lined up at another reputable company in an entirely different field but one that I am also interested in. During Spring semester I may also pursue my Real Estate license, just for the hell of it, esp since I'll be buying a place right after.
Can't, can't wait. This god awful semester will be done in 2 weeks, this is the first time I didn't have one single interesting class since I've been in college. Actually, Astronomy is interesting but extremely difficult. I have learned alot though. Going to Big Bear again this weekend, Penn/NY/DC when school is over then back for last 5 months at SMC. YAY!
